Authorities Investigating Apparent Suicide on Bradstreet Avenue in Danvers

DANVERS, Mass. – March 5, 2026 – On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at approximately 3:52 a.m., members of the Danvers Police Department responded to a multi-family residence on Bradstreet Avenue following a report of a suicidal male possibly in possession of a firearm, Danvers Chief of Police James Lovell and Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker confirm.
Upon their arrival, a single gunshot was heard coming from inside the residence. Officers secured the scene and requested additional resources from the Beverly Police Department and the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC). With the assistance of NEMLEC personnel, officers subsequently entered the residence. Inside, they located a 29-year-old male who had sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to Tucker’s office, the Danvers Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Ballistics Section, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
