Four North Andover Jewelry Robbery Suspects Arraigned

LAWRENCE, Mass. – July 8, 2025 – Over the course of yesterday and today, four suspects in a North Andover jewelry store robbery were arraigned in Lawrence District Court and held without bail pending the results of dangerousness hearings, according to Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. The defendants are Yire Abreu, 24, of Bronx, New York; Angel Carrasco, 21, of Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania; Jarol Ledesma, 22, of Brooklyn, New York; and Wilfred Mordan, 21, of Hazelton, Pennsylvania.

The charges stem from the following allegations: on July 3, North Andover Police responded to calls of multiple males wearing masks and brandishing firearms while robbing Milos Joyeria at 563-A Chickering Road in North Andover; the defendants then switched vehicles and led police on a chase on Route 125 in North Andover and onto 495, entering into Lawrence, where they then fled into the woods before four of them were found and arrested by Lawrence Police. Two suspects remain wanted by authorities.

In Lawrence District Court, the defendants pled not guilty and were held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing, appearing before the Hon. Mary Phillips and the Hon. Jerald Parisella. Assistant District Attorney Alyssa Fournier handled the arraignments on behalf of the Commonwealth.

Carrasco was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Abreu was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Ledesma was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

Mordan was charged with armed and masked robbery, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, and two counts of receiving a stolen vehicle.

Abreu was represented by attorney Veronica Santos Puim and Carrasco was represented by attorney Pamela Love Rogers, while Ledesma was represented by attorney Jeffrey Wilson and Mordan was represented by attorney Meredith Reeves. All four defendants are slated to return to court for a detention hearing on July 14.

In addition to the North Andover Police Department and the Lawrence Police Department, the response to the incident involved collaborative efforts by the Methuen Police Department, Essex County Sheriff’s Department, the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, Drone, and K9 units, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

All suspects and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
