Man Deceased in West Newbury Car Crash

WEST NEWBURY, Mass. – September 24, 2025 – Shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, a 2023 Toyota Camry traveling in West Newbury went off the roadway and crashed in the area of 130 Indian Hill Street. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, believed to be a 55-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene, the Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker confirms. Pending family notifications, the identity of the deceased vehicle operator is not being released at this time. No one else was injured in the incident.

The crash is being investigated by the West Newbury Police Department, Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, MSP Crime Scene Services Section, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Newbury Police, Newbury Fire Department, West Newbury Fire Department, Newburyport Fire Department, and the West Newbury Department of Public Works provided support at the scene.
