Richard Pena Charged with Murder of Hugo Delrosario, 27, of Lawrence

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SALEM, Mass. – June 2, 2026 – The Commonwealth has charged Richard Pena, 24, of Lawrence, with murder related to the shooting death of Hugo Delrosario, 27, of Lawrence, on September 13, 2025, at 154 Essex Street in Lawrence. Authorities arrested Pena on Monday in Lawrence on the outstanding Massachusetts warrant related to this crime.

Pena was arraigned today in Superior Court and ordered held without bail.

All suspects and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
