Two Individuals Deceased in Haverhill Vehicle Crash Identified

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

HAVERHILL, Mass. – June 4, 2025 – The Office of Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker confirms that a vehicle was found off of the road on Interstate 495 in Haverhill early Monday morning and two deceased people were located near the vehicle; a third individual who survived the incident was medically transported. The two deceased people have been identified as Daniel Marcelo, 39, of Lowell and Alex Vasquez, 27, of Lawrence.

The incident is under investigation by the Office of the District Attorney, Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Troop A Detectives, the Crime Scene Services Section, Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the Drone Unit, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
